PJ: Since Palin is still in the news I decided to read the recently released "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin" by Frank Bailey (a former staffer and Palin insider). I've found the book very believable as it is both an expose and a confession of one man's personal experience in helping propel Sarah Palin to Alaskan (and later National) stardom. Backed by Palin's own words (through emails) as well as emails of the author and other insiders, this book gives a realistic picture of Sarah Palin--not as a two headed monster but as a blindly ambitious woman. The picture Mr. Bailey paints is of himself, a devoted follower who saw in Palin someone to whom he could dedicate himself. In doing so, he lost sight of his own (Christian-type) beliefs in their combined quest for Sarah Palin's political success. Vindictiveness, dishonesty and manipulation became the mainstay of the Palin political operation or put simply, the end justified the means to their success no matter who got hurt or destroyed along the way. Palin supporters have said that they would do anything for her, one even going so far as to say that she would "walk across broken glass", treating Palin more as a deity than simply an ambitious politician. Blind Allegiance is a must read for anyone who needs to question whether they worship rather than simply support any politician.
The following story in the UK's The Daily Mail shows just how far Palin fans will go to promote their queen in the most positive light possible from showing Palin in (her favourite) victim role to embellishing her brief and lack luster record as an Alaskan Politician. Palin's secret weapon: White House hopeful shuns brief YouTube clip in favour of TWO-HOUR film to launch presidential bid
By Oliver Pickup
* Film will be called 'The Undefeated' and charts the former Governor of Alaska's rise to fame and highlights her good points
* Film maker Stephen Bannon will finance the $1m project
Sarah Palin has shunned a brief YouTube clip in favour of an two-hour film to launch her presidential bid ahead of next year.
The 47-year-old Republican has teamed up with conservative film maker Stephen Bannon, who will produce the 'epic' documentary which will be aired next month.
The film will be entitled 'The Undefeated' and will chart the former Governor of Alaska's rise to fame and her best points, in a bid to wrestle power off incumbent president Barack Obama.
While President Obama has been enjoying banquets with the Queen and British Prime Minister David Cameron in London, Tea Party movement pip-up has been plotting how best to have another tilt at the top spot.
According to insiders the the documentary portrays the former model as a maverick figure who has been persecuted by the media and ridiculed by opposition parties.
Though nothing has been announced by the Palin camp yet, it is widely expected that the airing of the film will preclude her officially running for presidency.

The film, which is thought to be premièring in Iowa, was the brain child of Bannon, who had originally bee approached by the Palin team to produce a series of their candidate's highlights.
But the largely unknown film producer came up with the idea of splicing all the clips together.
In addition the film attempts to lay to rest the lingering doubts over her resignation as Governor of Alaska in 2009, with a year-and-a-half left in her first term.
In July two years ago Palin announced that she would not run for re-election in the 2010 Alaska gubernatorial election as both she and the state had been expending an 'insane' amount of time and money ($2.5m) to address 'frivolous' ethics complaints filed against her.
She added that her decision not to seek re-election to the post would make her a lame duck governor.
A close aide insisted that Palin was 'no longer able to do the job she had been elected to do. Essentially, the taxpayers were paying for Sarah to go to work every day and defend herself.'
Palin and her husband Todd had personally incurred more than $500,000 in legal fees defending against ethics charges brought against her as governor.
Bannon, who has produced a string of conservative films - including such titles as In The Face Of Evil, Battle For America and Generation Zero - will foot the $1million for the project.
According to RealClearPolitics the former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker said: 'This film is a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment.
'Let's have a good old-fashioned brouhaha.'
In last November's mid-term elections Republicans netted 60 House seats, six Senate seats and seven governorships - and Palin was credited with playing a central role in that.
Following that Palin told her close aides that she would consider launching in to another election campaign with the help of some short videos.
But the response was so positive from Bannon, that he said he insisted that he would take complete control and finance it himself.
It's an unconventional method by Palin to reintroduce herself to the nation - even some Republicans thought that she wouldn't consider running.
