More Eyes on Palin as she Compares to Obama...this from the UK

The Telegraph

American Way: Which Republican will move to take down wounded Sarah Palin?

"Whether she was being ignorant or clever in her use of history, in political terms she was profoundly misguided. The language she used was that of a conservative blogger engaging in a bitter debate with a partisan opponent. That was not what most Americans wanted to hear.

"Unfortunately for Palin, Obama delivered a pitch-perfect speech in Tucson – delivered without his beloved teleprompter – that made him seem more human, unifying and patriotic a figure than he has at any stage in his presidency. To use the jargon of political operatives, he connected."

"When she was plucked from relative obscurity to be John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 election, Palin was an exciting new face with bags of populist, outsider appeal and an appealingly straightforward manner. She gave a great speech at the Republican convention but was hesitant on television and literally not quite ready for prime time.

"Her video address last Wednesday underlined that she has scarcely developed since that time. If anything, she has gone backwards."
