PJ: You can't make this stuff up--John McCain refuses to take his blinders off about the woman he tried to put within a 72-year-old's heartbeat from the Presidency. The person responsible for the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate, Steve Schmidt has admitted that the selection was a huge mistake and a failure of the vetting process even though she did, for a time, energize the campaign. Another key campaign operative, Nichole Wallace has said that she modeled a mentally ill character in her latest book after Sarah Palin*. Both have said that they worried about how to replace her on the ticket or if elected how they would work to limit her responsibilies in the office of Vice President. It is true that the hard right wing of the GOP adores Palin (as witness by her CPAC speech this last weekend) but an overwhelming majority of Americans (about 70%) say that she is unqualified.
Many in the US have expressed their desire for Senator John McCain to come forward and admit that Sarah Palin was not a qualified pick for his VP. His own daughter has had no kind words about her. But from this video, the world should give up waiting for that admission as John McCain will continue either the charade or the delusion for the rest of his life.
