Early voters key to deciding US presidency
THE US election could be decided long before election day as the two contenders mobilise to have their supporters take advantage of early voting laws.By Friday night it was estimated at least 30,000 people had already voted, many of them in the key swing state of Iowa, which allowed ballots to be cast from Thursday.
It is estimated that this year up to 40 per cent of voters will cast their ballots early - either in person or by mail - rather than joining the long queues on Tuesday, November 6.
